FitPlanet: a gym platform for Karachi, in the making

Our own product: one pass for every gym in the city. The prototype is built and we are looking for pilot gyms.

The challenge

Most gyms in Karachi have no real online presence. People can't see what a gym offers, what it costs or how busy it gets before they walk in, and trying one usually means paperwork and a full membership.

Keeping members is the second problem. Many lose interest after the first month, and gym owners have no simple tools to see who is slipping away or to bring them back.

FitPlanet works like a broker for gyms: one place where people find, compare and book gyms, and where owners run the business side without building their own tech.

What we built

Find and compare gyms
Search with filters for price, amenities and distance, and gym profiles with photos, pricing plans, reviews and a live capacity indicator.

Book a pass, walk in with a QR code
Day, week or month passes with add-ons, and a digital pass that acts as the member's ID at the front desk.

Reasons to keep coming back
A workout routine builder, session tracking, check-in history, workout buddies and challenges, so the app stays useful after the first visit.

A studio portal for gym owners
Eight sections covering the dashboard, passes and pricing, capacity and slots, bookings and check-ins, promotions and discounts, reviews and financial reports.

Prototype first, on purpose
Accounts, phone sign-up and photo uploads run on real infrastructure. Gyms, bookings and payments use sample data, so we can test every flow with gym owners before building the costly parts.

Where it stands

Idea and prototype done: the member app and the owner portal cover every main flow end to end.
Next: SMS verification and payments, then a pilot with a handful of Karachi gyms and real bookings.
