PushPal lets Wix site owners send browser push notifications to visitors who opt in. KarachiSol processes the data below to provide the app. For visitors' data, the merchant decides to use PushPal and we process it on the merchant's behalf.
From merchants
- Site and account identifiers Wix provides when the app is installed (for example the site ID and plan).
- Contact details you give us for support.
- The notification settings, messages and automations you create, and delivery and click statistics for them.
From visitors who opt in
- A push subscription: a technical address and keys created by the visitor's browser so that notifications can be delivered. It does not contain the visitor's name or email address.
- Basic device information such as browser type, operating system and language, and the time of opt-in.
- Whether each notification was delivered and clicked.
- A small script and identifier stored in the visitor's browser, used only to deliver notifications and remember whether the visitor already answered the opt-in prompt.
- Site events for automations the merchant turns on, such as an abandoned cart, an order or shipping update, a booking, or a back-in-stock product. Wix sends us these events; we use them only to build and send the related notification, and we do not store them.
Choice and control
- Nothing is sent unless the visitor accepts the browser's permission prompt. Visitors can stop notifications at any time in their browser settings; when a subscription is withdrawn or expires, we stop sending to it and delete it.
- Merchants are responsible for telling their visitors that they use PushPal, for example in their own privacy policy.
- Notifications are delivered through the push service run by the visitor's browser vendor (for example Google, Apple, Mozilla or Microsoft), which receives the encrypted message in order to deliver it.
How long we keep it
- Push subscriptions: until the visitor unsubscribes, the subscription expires, or the merchant uninstalls PushPal.
- After a merchant uninstalls, we delete their app data within 30 days, and sooner on request.
